I met Sasha at a park event this past summer. I have worked with several acupuncturists only to have a couple that were really good, so my expectations were low. Much to my surprise, Sasha was able to tell me everything that was happening in my body, physically, emotionally and hormonally with surprising accuracy.
I have been seeing Sasha and Michelle at Impact Healing since August 2,2023. The issues that have been addressed are complex PTSD,constipation/IBS history, sensitivities( allergies) , asthma , insomnia, depression and pain. I have received excellent care from both practitioners.
I came in petrified of needles, and the first appointment was terrifying, but Michelle was super helpful. I've become super relaxed and at ease with the needles and use any kind of jumpiness as an indicator that relaxing would benefit the flow of everything.
I sought treatment from Sasha at Impact Healing for knee pain, and she's helped me with so much more. She really cares about bringing balance into my life and looks at my mental health and nutrition, not just the needles. She asks all sorts of questions to figure out what's going on.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
