“I’ve had a painfully nagging knot in my shoulder blade for years that I wasn’t initially totally convinced I needed PT for (after all, it’s not an “injury” just an uncomfortable annoyance).”
“I had an excellent experience with Kendall at PT 617, who helped me recover from multiple injuries—shoulder, knee, and lower back—caused by years of weight training with improper technique.”
From the reviews
Kendall is an AMAZING PT! She takes her time each visit examining every possible imbalance and how to tackle working towards fixing the injury no matter how major or minor it is. Kendall understands “getting back to play” and wants you to get there.
I cant say enough good things about Kendall ( PT 617). She was very knowledgeable and thorough in my initial evaluation. She was able to pinpoint and access where my knee and hip pain were coming from. Kendall gave me an explanation of treatment as well as exercises to strengthen the targeted areas.
I have been seeing Kendall for achilles tendinosis as well as some shoulder issues. As a firefighter and athlete it is an extremely important to stay physically fit. After seeing Kendall and following prescribed rehabilitation exercises and programming my shoulders feel fully healed and my achilles pain has subsided.
Kendall is the best! After dealing with some soreness and tightness in my shoulders, rotator cuffs, and traps, I was lucky enough to get some body work done at PT 617. Kendall did an excellent job. She used all the tools to help alleviate the myofascial build up I was experiencing.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
