From the reviews
I started going to The Massage Shoppe due to persistent neck pain. Jen was a godsend! I have no more pain and continue to go once a month. It’s so beneficial & relaxing! The therapists are amazing & friendly and I promise you will have an awesome experience!
Great session, was recommended by a friend and did not disappoint, been driving by for years and the building kind of put me off, the interior is nice. Big shout out to John, he applies great force when needed, but was reactive to things i mentioned and really spent the time to figure out the best way forward.
It is a very well kept place, immediate feels comfortable and relaxing. It is a well laid out and quiet even though it is near a busy place. The parking is very convenient. I very much appreciated the healing environment. My massage was amazing and I was able to move a lot better than when I went in.
My favorite massage therapy in the Pioneer Valley. Have gone here at least half a dozen times and worked with John and Aya. After 30 years of using massage therapy to address the stress and tight/sore muscles gifted by a publishing career, I appreciate the quality of this welcoming, clean practice.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
