From the reviews

I've had two sessions now and simply, Nellie rocks. I'm now making our work together a monthly routine to work on my back and shoulders. Nellie is super responsive and attentive throughout the session, always checking in before, after, and during the session.

★★★★★ — Sylvia, Mar 2026

As a former massage therapist and someone with chronic pain from back and shoulder injuries I have struggled to find the right LMT in the Pioneer Valley. Nellie is the first person I have received a body work session from that had lasting benefits.

★★★★★ — Lydia, Mar 2026

Nellie is such a wonder and has truly cultivated a very special space. Nellie worked with me throughout the massage and we found that a recent tooth pain I had, led to a lot of pressure and pain in my neck and face. They were able to switch focus with me and provide me relief in a way I didn’t even know I needed.

★★★★★ — June, Feb 2026

Nellie is phenomenal. Their practice is collaborative and inviting, and I could not be more grateful for the work they do. In just two sessions they have provided me with immense physical relief, and I have left both sessions feeling revitalized and grounded in my body.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
