From the reviews

My husband and I went to Lake Day Spa for a couple’s massage, and it was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. We added the cupping treatment, which felt incredible, and I really appreciated how the therapists asked what areas we wanted them to focus on the most.

This has probably been my favorite massage experience in a long time. The massage was a birthday gift. The Ashiatsu massage, hot stone, and cupping was nothing short of phenomenal. I am a competitive bodybuilder and it’s very difficult to find a masseuse who has the PERFECT amount of pressure…but they nailed it!

★★★★★ — Jennifer, Nov 2025

Lucy did amazing. Asked about the pressure and I was really tense in my upper body but didn’t know I was also tense in my lower back. She helped alleviate those areas & cupping helped tremendously. Quiet, thorough and pleasant overall. Thank you!

I had my first prenatal massage with Kathy and she was wonderful. She knew exactly how to relieve pregnancy tension without any discomfort. The pressure was perfect, she was very attentive, and I walked out feeling so much lighter and relaxed. Highly recommend for prenatal care!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
