From the reviews

What a great chiropractor center. I slipped on some ice and fell down a flight of seven stairs. When I finally got up, I had severe bruising down my leg and my back was completely out of whack (medical term). I could barely walk. I got on the phone to find a chiropractor and came across Hetrick Center.

The Hetrick Center is from a scale of 1-5 around a 50 for both chiropractic and massage! I've spent the past 60 years traipsing around to find someone to help me with a serious hip issue; both Dr. Mary and Lisa have done a phenomenal job! For those questioning the effectiveness of these methods, question no longer!

I'm very thankful to know I can rely on Dr. Alex to get me back in working order when my back, neck or shoulder pain is significant and interferes with everyday life. I recommend them to everyone!!!

For decades I've had assurance the team as a whole has been here for me. Well respected and deservingly so. Dr Alex is patient, articulate. I would certainly recommend to my friends and family. Great addition to health care support.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
