From the reviews

Top notch, grade-A massage therapist. You can't find this kind of professional in our state usually because of the type of massage board we have. She works with myofascial release as well as many other modalities. I'll probably never go anywhere else again.

Melanie is amazing. She is very welcoming and friendly. Before my massage, she communicated every step so that I knew what to expect. During my massage I could feel that she is professional and knows what she was doing. Melanie listened to my areas of concern and followed through.

★★★★★ — Rosa, Dec 2021

Melanie is amazing so kind and professional. This has turned my favorite self care destinations and where she goes she’s one worth driving to. Highly recommended for anyone who hates being touched, skeptical or just needs to relax and get a really awesome massage

★★★★★ — Sarah, Jun 2022

Melanie is great! Getting more flexibility/range of motion after just a few sessions with her. She also explains everything she does, why she's doing it and how it's going to benefit you. Can't say enough good things about this practice!!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
