From the reviews
I loved working with Dr. Mans! I started seeing her to help with fertility issues I was having. My husband and I ended up needing IVF, and Dr. Mans walked with me every step of the way--from the egg retrieval, through endometriosis treatment, to the transfer, and through the first trimester of my pregnancy!
Dr. Mans is truly doing God’s work! I went to see her after a major skiing wipeout left me with significant neck pain and stiffness. From the very first visit, she made me feel heard and cared for, and her treatment made such a difference.
I have been working with Dr. Mans for about a year now. Acupuncture has been a huge help in managing my chronic back and neck tightness. It has also surprisingly made a considerable difference in lowering my anxiety and improving my overall mood. Dr. Mans creates such a calm, inviting space.
Dr Madelyn is the most welcoming, nurturing, and thorough acupuncturist and Chinese medicine doctor I’ve encountered. She takes time to listen to me, as well as uses her tools to diagnose me so she can customize my treatment every time. I always feel amazing after getting a treatment!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
