It is hard for me to make appts for myself during the week so I was excited to see that Rebekkah had some Saturday availability! This was our first time meeting. She took her time getting to know me and my needs. The massage was OUTSTANDING. Probably in the top 3 of the dozens of massages I have received in my life.
Today was my first time at The Body Works and I had Beth as my massage therapist. The place in general was very clean and well maintained, the aromatherapy was so relaxing. Not only did Beth give me an amazing massage, she also made me feel very safe and comfortable which I feel is super important!
I am so pleased with the experience that I’ve had at The Body Works. The environment is clean, comfortable and serene and offers such a calming environment to relax and enjoy your massage. I especially appreciate being given the choice of essential oils and even the type of music during my massage.
I had an amazing experience with the massage. Anne truly loves what she does and she is very good at it, is great to feel her hands in your body with the right pressure that really relax you. If you have pain she does an extra effort to help in your recovery.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
