…I have been seeing Holly for deep tissue massage and cupping for years. When people ask for referrals, it's the first and only place that I send them to. The Body Fixx is warm, welcoming and clean. I have also received fabulous acupuncture and waxing treatments and facials here, as well!
I generally don't post reviews, but in this case, I just have to say that this place is absolutely amazing! I have been taking the cycle and strength classes since Michele and Holly opened the studio and all classes and instructors are fantastic!
I had the SIGNATURE HYDRAFACIAL treatment. It was an incredible experience, from the appointment to the final result. I'm 45 years old. My skin has sun spots and expression lines. What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
