From the reviews
I visited Marcus for tightness and and poor mobility in my shoulder (I had visited him last year for the same issue in the other shoulder and new I needed to come back before I had frozen shoulder). The processes to book was thorough and efficient. His room was spotless, comfy, and inviting.
Highly recommend Highland Village Massage! Kelly helped me recover from some soft tissue injuries following a car accident and has helped recommend home treatments to help with pain. She also helped my daughter overcome some muscle pain she was having from cheer practice. Marcus is also great.
This was genuinely a great experience. I regularly see another therapist who focuses only on whole-body relaxation and well-being, but I needed some focused work on some tight and tense muscles. First, I was able to book online, which is a HUGE convenience plus for me. Next, the massage table was extremely comfortable.
Various techniques and treatments available that customize to your needs and desired level of thoroughness or comfort. Therapists are attentive and responsive to your needs. Cleanliness and comfort of facilities is top notch. Pricing is very reasonable and competitive.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
