Update: 6/5/2025 I’ve been seeing Dr. Long for ongoing neck maintenance, and she is absolutely amazing. She always guides me toward the right treatment and is incredibly knowledgeable. Recently, I was struggling with severe heartburn, and she recommended Chinese herbal supplements.
Dr. Long is such a blessed individual. You can tell she loves what she does and wants to see improvements in whatever issue is going on. I recently started treatment in late February and have noticed improvements within a few sessions.
I have now completed 6 visits and have noticeably improved! Before, I wasn’t able to sleep through the night because of pain in my hip and down my leg. I felt immediate relief after the first visit and finally slept, but each visit since I have improved even more in mobility and in less inflammation and soreness too!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
