From the reviews

This place is heaven! I go to Angela for body work and acupuncture. She’s truly changed my life. I struggle with neck and back pain probably from years of bad posture and stress. As well as, migraines that seemed related to the pain. She’s also given me exercises, herbs, foods to eat and foods to avoid.

Amazing Results! I am based in Texas, but consulted with Dr. Dao through Tele/video sessions. The natural herbs, he prescribed along with the sleep and exercise regimen recommended produced stellar results. Highly recommend Dr.

I have been a patient at The Tao of Wellness for about a year now and even though work has been slim I am still able to continue, because of the tiered rates. The office is bright, clean and has a relaxing vibe.

As a physician, I can attest to the extraordinary care given at the Tao of Wellness. Dr Mao is an exceptional clinician and healer and has surrounded himself with a top notch staff and clinical colleagues that go the extra mile to make all patients feel good about the care that they receive.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
