From the reviews
I had an amazing experience at this wellness spa! I came in for acupuncture, cupping, and a massage and left feeling completely renewed. The staff was professional, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable.
I’m a licensed massage therapist of 6 years and I tried this spa for the first time today. IT WAS FANTASTIC! The staff is so friendly and Anna did a great job with my massage + fire cupping. They are my go to now and I’ll recommend them from now on!
I love this place, absolutely best massage ever! i came in for a cupping massage and left feeling incredible and relaxed, Sun Li did an amazing job! I will continue to return here for future appointments! Absolutely recommend!
This was a first for me. I was in town for a little get away and wanted a massage. I call and they were able to get me in within a few minutes. I did an hour deep tissue massage and cupping. The cupping was new. I was nervous but once it was completed I feel better. The massage was amazing I was treated so well.
Booking hijama (wet cupping) at Taichi Wellness Spa Plus
Taichi Wellness Spa Plus comes up as a provider that offers hijama — wet cupping, where the skin is lightly punctured after suction so a small amount of blood is drawn. If you're booking hijama specifically, a few things are worth asking before you go. First, sterility is everything — a reputable practitioner uses a fresh, single-use kit (new blades and cups) for every client and follows clean, gloved technique. It's completely fair to ask how they handle this. Second, many people booking hijama want a same-gender practitioner — ask whether that can be arranged. Third, ask about aftercare and whether they observe particular days if that matters to you.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
