From the reviews

Samantha Smith is an AMAZING LMT. I have seen Samantha for deep tissue massages with cupping twice a month for five months. After ten years of searching for a LMT that knows about muscle recovery, I am so thankful to have found Samantha.

I have been a client of Synergy Bodyworks and Wellness since 2021. My physical therapist referred me to Lisa for the knots in my neck and shoulders from my profession(Cosmetologist).

Sam is incredible! She has skills beyond any therapist I've worked with in the past. The quality of her massages are top-notch on their own, but she also perfectly complimented the work I'm doing with my Chiropractor. SBW has a welcoming and cozy vibe, I love the renovated mill. Highly recommend Sam!

I’ve been having monthly massages for the last 9 years. Over those 9 years, I’ve had 5 therapists who have been wonderful (except 1). There is something special about Synergy Body Works and Wellness. From my 1st visit, explaining the slipped and fractured disc in my back, she listened to me.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
