Why Sweet Magnolia Massage is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. From the reviews
I just had an amazing experience with Carol! She went above and beyond at my first appointment, helping determine where and why my problem areas were and how to make them feel better . Her combination of Massage and myofascial release therapy along with her compassion, worked wonders on my body!
Carol is truly a gifted healer. The myofascial release technique she uses is so effective - she has relieved so much of my pain through both her knowledge and skill, and her strong intuition. She really is a healer through and through. Her space is peaceful and beautiful, and you will leave feeling so renewed.
Carol does amazing work! If there’s a certain area that needs to be focused on, she will do that. Her specialty is myofascial release (mfr). Can be done with or without oil while simultaneously releasing chronic tension and is very relaxing.
Being my first visit, Carol took the time to get to know me and to ask what my goal for getting a massage was. It was pure relaxation with just the right amount of pressure. Afterwards, she did not rush me and brought me a nice cold cup of water, as well as provided a yummy truffle while she checked me out.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
