From the reviews

After a surgery on my hand earlier this year, I was referred to Summit Hand Therapy. The staff at the Clinton location are amazing! I had lost almost all range of motion and strength in my hand, but through the work done during my appointments & the home exercises they recommended, I am almost back to normal & have…

The Summit Hand Therapy team at the Clinton location is hands down the best! Ok, Layton is pretty awesome too. ;-) From the moment you walk in the door you can feel the family environment.

Summit Hand Therapy is a fantastic place to go. I broke my finger a few weeks back playing basketball. Since then I had lost a great deal of strength and flexibility. After my very first treatment my finger felt better and had much better flexibility.

The group that works at Summit Hand Therapy in Clinton is amazing!! Between arthritis and a minor slap tear in my shoulder, they helped me get better use and movement. The team that works there are fun, friendly, positive and hard workers. Thank you for the help and laughs!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
