From the reviews

I booked a Shiatsu massage with Amelia after hearing amazing things, and it truly exceeded every expectation. I’ve tried a lot of massage therapists in Austin, but Amelia is by far one of the best massage therapists for Shiatsu, deep pressure, and tension relief that I’ve ever experienced.

I’ve been receiving massages from Amelia for quite some time now, and every session continues to impress me. Her Ashiatsu technique is incredibly effective, it reaches deep into the muscles in a way that feels both powerful and restorative.

★★★★★ — Norman, Aug 2025

Amelia is an amazing massage therapist, and I’m so glad I found her. I had surgery a few weeks ago and was dealing with a lot of tight, painful muscles. I was a little hesitant to get a massage at first, but I’m really happy I decided to go.

★★★★★ — Ali, Dec 2025

Amelia is an incredible massage therapist and I’m so glad I found her. If you have never experienced Ashiatsu style massage and you really enjoy moderate to deep pressure, you are missing out. We are lucky to have such a gem of a practitioner out in Dripping/South Austin.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
