From the reviews
Being a VERY Claustrophobic person, I was reluctant to try this. The staff explained I could Float with the pod open or closed. I tried it closed and found myself totally relaxed and not feeling claustrophobic at all. No a bit!
Located right at the Bellweather Marina in Bellingham. Parking is free in front. The space is always immaculately clean, especially during covid (which was appreciated). Andreas W. has always been terrific.
This was my first time doing a float and I was visiting from out of town, so I had no idea what to expect. The facility was lovely and super clean. The instructional videos and emails were super helpful. I really liked the vibe of the person who helped me.
I just had my first session with Jodi. I recently lost my wife of 49 years and she helped me start through the grieving process. She was very warm and understanding and between the massage and the conversation, I left knowing that I would return to continue down the path.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
