From the reviews
If I could give them a 10, I would. When I first got there, I was on crutches. In no time Lauren had me using a cane and today I can walk. From the first day, everyone made you feel welcomed and friendly, all they wanted was for you to get better.
Thank You! My therapist Lauren was fantastic. I went in for my knees, and was recommended SportsCare by a friend. I was instantaneously made to feel like I was their first priority. I ended up being with Sportscare for about 2 1/2 months, maybe 3, ending in April this year.
This place is absolutely amazing! Lauren and the aides are wonderful people who know exactly how to help you get better. They always welcome me with a smile and make me feel like I am their priority, even when there are other patients.
I cannot say enough good things about the treatment I have received at SportsCare Physical Therapy in Elmwood Park. My treatment specifically is for a spiral fracture of my left fibula. Thanks to my therapist Luis Rosero I am literally able to get back on my feet and am on the road to recovery faster.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
