I’ve been going to Kim for years—long before she opened The Sports Massage Clinic of Livonia. I first met her through a chiropractor’s office that offered massage, and honestly, I was going more for the adjustments back then.
I received my first sports massage yesterday 12/14/25 from Tanisha. LET ME TELL YOU, I have not been able to move my neck this much since 2018 (no exaggeration). As a self-defense instructor I was riddled with trigger points from my neck to my lower back.
I work out a lot and I have seen multiple therapists at this office. They always know what to work on and focus on the areas that need it the most. They work in a way that works out the problems but not to where you can’t take the pressure. I highly recommend!!

What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
