From the reviews

I’ve been working with Rush at Spear Athletics once a week for about a month now, and I’m already starting to feel real progress. For me, it’s about actually building a routine and learning what I’ve been missing all these years when it comes to fitness. Rush is awesome to work with.

★★★★★ — Nathan, Feb 2026

I’ve been working with Rush at Spear Athletics Physical Therapy for about two months, and it’s been the most comprehensive and personalized PT experience I’ve ever had. He takes the time to truly evaluate your movement and needs, not just treat symptoms. Rush is always on time, kind, and clearly knowledgeable.

★★★★★ — Devin, May 2025

I can’t recommend Rush enough. After suffering an AC joint tear, I was worried about how long recovery would take and whether I’d regain full strength and mobility.

★★★★★ — Parker, Mar 2026

I was looking for someone who could help me transition from physical therapy for chronic lower back pain back into strength training, and Rush was the perfect solution, as he has expertise in both fields. While he offers different meetup options, I opted for in-home training with my home gym equipment.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
