I'm here for work and it's been a stressful week. Decided a message was in order and took a chance because of the photos. I'm soooo glad I did! Wendy was amazing. She talked me through all my pain spots and really tailored the massage to me. I've had a bad experience before and was hesitant, but this place is great.
My husband and I came to Irving from Paris for a comedy show for our anniversary and we decided what better way to celebrate than a couples massage. It was our first ever professional massage and Spa 9 absolutely set a very high bar.
Got a couple massage here as a gift from my husband but the experience was amazing! I have a lot of tension in my shoulders and the pain went away after the massage. The place was clean and the service was great! I will definitely be coming back soon.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
