From the reviews
I've been coming to Southern Physical Therapy for a while now, and the experience has been nothing short of amazing. Joe, my physical therapist, has been incredibly reassuring and encouraging throughout my recovery. He’s not only highly knowledgeable but also explains things in a way that makes it easy to understand.
Absolutely love the Slidell Southern Physical Therapy crew! 10/10 would recommend!! Joe is hands down the absolute best at what he does. Especially fixing a stiff neck. I went in not being able to even turn my neck and left actually being able to turn it after one session with less pain.
Antonio Haynes Joe, Emma and Liz were all awesome. They are all very nice and professional at this clinic and they also love watching Cheer Moms 😁. I was always greeted with a smile, by name and was always asked how I was feeling on that particular day. Joe worked with me most of the time and he totally rocked it!
The entire staff are just AMAZING 🫶🏽 my recovery from back surgery almost a year ago along with other issues have been something for the books 😳 I started physical therapy almost a month ago and I have come such a close way I never thought it was possible but Emma and Joe are so awesome.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
