From the reviews
I highly recommend Southboro Acupuncture! This was my first time trying acupuncture and cupping for a pinched nerve/tension and Natasha was very thorough, explaining the process start to finish so I knew what to expect. She really emphasizes comfort and ensures you have a great patient experience during your session.
I've seen Natasha for two acupuncture treatments and both experiences were phenomenal. The clinic is a very calm and comfortable space. At both visits, she spent time asking about my current concerns and really tailored each treatment to what I needed that day.
I had my very first appointment with Natasha at Southboro Acupuncture, and I had no idea what to expect! Natasha asked thorough questions about my mind, body, and soul to best treat me and what my body needed. She's amazing and made sure I was comfortable the entire time.
Natasha is wonderful! She has created a very calm and nurturing environment. Natasha is super knowledgeable and made me feel at ease during my first ever acupuncture appointment. I’ll be back!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
