I recently had my first visit with Jennalee at Soft as a Petal, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The space was immaculate, well-organized, and had a calming atmosphere that immediately put me at ease.
I was having a difficult time finding a massage therapist with talent and the ability to adjust their techniques to my specific needs on a session-to-session basis. I feel incredibly fortunate to have discovered Soft as a Pedal Massage, and Jennalee is now the only therapist I will see.
Amazing therapist!!!! I had a 90 minute session with JennaLee & I pointed out that my issue was my mid-back. Those 40-50 minutes she spent there were well spent. Complete relief after she was done with that area. Every other part of the session was just as good. Definitely not your average cookie-cutter therapist.
I have had quite a few massage therapists over the years and Jennalee is by far the most knowledgeable in the field. She introduced me to techniques that I didn’t know existed. When I had my first session , I was in serious pain. Jennalee got me back on my feet and I haven’t turned back. She comes highly recommended !!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
