I just had the best spa day at Del Soul, which my husband gifted me for Christmas. I experienced the Pearly Gates Package, which included the 24/heaven 75 min massage, Ageless Beauty facial and Del Soul Signature pedicure.
I have been going here for going on 7 years off and on. I have always found them to be super friendly and professional and ON POINT! I’ve recommended several people to them who are now regulars as well. I highly recommend their cupping especially if you tend to have a lot of stress or back pain!
Another wonderful couples massage was completed! We first encountered the owner at a spa in West Hartford, then followed her to the Newington location. We/I have had services performed by several therapists here over the years, and all have been thoroughly beneficial.
Had my first massage at Del Soul today with Lisa. Cozy, comfortable atmosphere in the waiting room. The entire staff was warm and accommodating. My massage was completely unlike any massage I’d had in the past. Lisa quickly found every spot I was holding stress and went to work quickly and the relief was immediate.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
