From the reviews
I have been getting therapeutic massages for several years and Michaela is the first person I've had incorporate stretching in a way that feels cohesive and relieving. She is very calming and warm. I felt at ease from the moment I walked in. Her space is also relaxing and polished.
I've been getting massages from Michaela once to twice a month for over two years now (usually for migraine prevention or relaxation). Each time gets better and better! I don't like very deep massage and she's very attentive to that, which I really appreciate.
I had a wonderful experience with Michaela at Sláinte Massage, she focused on my upper body tension to give me the relief I needed and she even added hot stones and cupping which left my back, neck and shoulders feeling light and refreshed. She incorporated stretches that increased my mobility and range of motion.
Michaela helped to convince me of the many benefits Thai massage. I was skeptical at first but just one session with her is all it takes. She is one of my massage therapists who has developed Thai table massage, an innovative way to improve my flexibility with all the healing aspects of a Thai massage done on a…
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
