Best locally owned massage business in town. I’ve been going here for years and gotten a wide range of massages. I mostly get the cupping and gua sha for those pesky back knots. Always happy with my results, I would t go anywhere else!!
Yan is an excellent masseuse. She is very knowledgeable about how to improve any aches or pains we may have. She works very hard. Has a nice personality if you enjoy conversation during the massage. I have been a regular customer for about 8 years.
I'm with the reviewer (Bill) below; worried she'll get too popular! But, the secret's out. Yan is the best massage therapist I've experienced. She is skilled, empathic and honest. Since becoming a regular customer, I no longer need chiropractic care and no longer have the daily headaches I experienced for decades.
I went to see Yan earlier this week due to hurting my back picking up a computer. Yan gave me a 1.5 hour massage and worked out the strain in my back and also gave me a guasha treatment that helped get all of the bad toxins out of my system.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
