In January this year, I had a miscarriage and realized I needed to focus on improving my overall health. Given that American doctors tend to have a more laid-back approach, I was recommended Dr. Fan by a close friend. Dr.
Dr. Fan is super experienced and professional. His diagnosis is pretty accurate with amazing treatment results. My shoulder pains were 50% gone after the first visit. He taught me self-care exercises and procedures working as a team to accomplish better results.
Dr. Fan is an excellent therapist. He is not only very kind and patient but also highly knowledgeable and skilled. I had been dealing with leg pain and cramps since 2024 (possibly as a side effect of COVID), and after visiting several doctors without much improvement, I finally went to see Dr. Fan in 2025.
I’ve had a great experience with Dr Fan. He is very kind, patient, and always takes the time to listen. I went many times after having my baby, and the treatments were extremely helpful. I had moxibustion on several visits, which really helped with the cold feeling in my body. I noticed a clear improvement over time.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
