From the reviews
Shawn is incredibly attentive and intuitive, and encouraged me to try cupping for the first time! GREAT massage AND value!
Shawn is awesome. She always listens to what I need. The space is clean and welcoming and fun. I love getting massages here!
Shawn is fantastic as a massuse and a person. She has alleviated pain and kept us moving for years when our old bodies are complaining! She is well trained to use several different techniques for the best results for you!
Shawn Marie is a fantastic massage therapist! I've had plenty of massages in my day but she utilizes stretching and mobility/rotation to work out all the knots and pressure points. I've rarely left an office feeling 100% relaxed and de-knotted.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
