From the reviews

I have been going to see Shawn regularly for a couple of years now. After spending 2+ decades working in landscaping and construction I had just resigned to the fact that I was always going to be in pain and have a restricted range of motion.

I have been to Shawn twice needing specific help with injuries (neck and lower back) and both times he has been a tremendous help. His education and experience extend beyond an average therapeutic massage. He utilized pecific techniques to tailor both massages to what my body needed.

★★★★★ — Laura, Feb 2025

I have been a client of Shawn's for several years. He exhibits compassion and professional expertise. He asks questions to be sure that the session is tailor-made to the client dependent upon any ongoing issues or any new concerns. Never failed to feel much better after a session.

★★★★★ — David, Jan 2025

I have used Shawn for years now. My first experience I could hardly stand upright. Shawn massaged until he got to my psoas muscles from the front. Both sides had knots. I was able to straighten up after the first session. Follow up sessions worked the knots out. Shawn does a great job.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
