From the reviews
I have seen Jennifer before for a CBD massage, and this second time I saw her for a massage with cupping. I’ve had this done in the past at another health center, but today I have to say that this was the best experience. It was targeted specifically to the needs of my body and current health.
This was my first time trying acupuncture for tension that has built up in my body due to stress, anxiety, and depression. As a Black woman I wanted to be with someone that I can trust. Danielle was exactly that person! It is important for me to have a Black acupuncturist.
I have been hearing great things about Serenity for a while now. But I finally was able to book a craniosacral therapy session. My practitioner, Rebecca, did such a great job making me feel comfortable and seen!
The prenatal massage with Kari did absolute wonders. I only wish I had more time for more appointments. Relaxing atmosphere overall to boot. Highly recommend. The team also called ahead when they had a cancellation and worked to be able to make my appointment 60 minutes rather than my originally booked 30 when that…
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
