From the reviews
I've been going to Serene Chiropractic for about a year now and they have helped me tremendously. When I first came in I was experiencing such severe back pain that I was not sleeping or exercising and I had great trouble just getting through my workdays.
When I first started visiting Serene Chiropractic, I was 484 lbs and 7' tall, carrying an incredible amount of stress in my lower back, shoulders, and neck. I was hesitant—worried about my size, the capacity of their equipment, and whether they could even help me.
I'd been having back pain for several months after bringing home a newborn and carrying him around all day, but I called Serene Chiropractic after a lingering cough left me in pain with any deep breath. I started feeling better after just a few treatments, and felt pain free in just a few weeks.
I went for neck pain that prevented me from turning my head. I've also had lingering lower back pain for years. I've been going for about a month now 3 days a week and not only is my neck pain gone, but I've experienced some surprising results I did not anticipate.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
