My experience was amazing here. I love how aesthetic the place is all around. I got the chance to enjoy the hot tub for an hour with my sister and we were delighted to have the cucumber water in the champagne glasses. We had such a nice time enjoying the scenery and everything was so peaceful and lovely there.
This is NOT your soulless franchise, nor corporate resort spa.. Secret Garden is filled with fashion-design, and its staff with heart. It oozes a “feel good vibe”. Quaint and tasteful, it’s a (secret) sanctuary smack-dab in the middle of St. Louis City.
Secret Garden Spa was the best part of our visit to St Louis. Clayton did a phenomenal job on my back, alleviating my chronic back pain and allowing me to move without pain the rest of the trip. The hot tub was top-notch, and they even had some friendly cats in the garden! Can't recommend this place enough!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
