From the reviews

Monica really knows what she is doing and she has a kind and patient bedside manner. She has years of education and experience. Intelligence, competence and kindness in one provider can be hard to find, and she has all three. So often, health care practitioners don't truly listen to their patients.

★★★★★ — Andrea, Sep 2015

I went to see Monica when I was 39 years old, and had already been through two miscarriages. I had heard from a friend that acupuncture would be helpful to try and conceive. I found Monica online, and after reading her rave reviews I knew she was the one! I went to go see her and explained my situation.

★★★★★ — Liz, Jul 2020

Monica is amazing! After being diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy, I was stressed and searching for help. Monica went above and beyond to fit me into her busy schedule, and thanks to her skillful acupuncture treatments, I was fully healed in just two weeks!

My husband and I have both seen Monica for acupuncture for over 8 years for various ailments. We cannot say enough about how professional, knowledgable, and helpful she is. We highly recommend her.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
