From the reviews
I found out about Savvy through a friend. I was looking for someone to do cupping in order to help relieve issues I was experiencing. Sandy is amazing. I have now been there several times and my issues improve with every visit. When I go I never tell her what issues I’m having. She just knows.
Wow! I came to Savvy through a recommendation from a friend. Cindy and her husband were so kind. I have been to other massage locations, but my Savvy experience was more personal. After throwing my back out a few weeks ago, I still wasn’t myself. Cindy worked through my shoulders and back.
Fantastic quality of service! Got a massage, added on for cupping, hot stones and hot towel. Very comfortable setting, service was spectacular, highly recommend!
As a retired RN and massage therapist, I have search the area for a good massage therapist. Sandy, a certified medical massage therapist at Savvy Spa, is the best deep tissue therapist I have ever encountered. Sandy has a deep understanding of the body and how it works.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
