I went to Sarah for intense glute/hip pain, and I left completely pain free as well as relaxed, centered, at ease and empowered. As someone that's seen countless Acupuncturists both in NY and CA, I can truly say Sarah's practice is next level - she not only focused on my hip but my overall energetic wellness, in a way…
I must admit, I was skeptical of needles before my first session with Sarah- however, I was put at ease immediately and then quickly converted into a believer (of miracles!) ...Sarah is deeply in tune with whoever she is treating and it will be evident from your first session that she is a natural healer.
Anyone considering acupuncture should consider scheduling an appointment with Sarah. I have chronic shoulder pain and have been worrying about possible surgery for over a year. I crossed paths with Sarah at the cliff and she suggested I try acupuncture.
I have had trouble in the past with connecting with acupuncturist and felt like I never fully understood what the treatment was doing. The way that Sarah engages the patient in their acupuncture treatment and checks in stands out the most about her as a acupuncture specialist.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
