From the reviews

Okay TJ, what did you do? lol When i decided to book an appointment here, it was out of sheer desperation and the thought that this was my last resort to find some kind of pain relief, but also very skeptical that it would work for me personally.

★★★★★ — Maria, Apr 2026

I scheduled a visit with San Diego Sports Acupuncture, with Uzi, as a last resort. For some context, I had been dealing with substantial neck pain due to a martial arts-related C6/C7 injury.

★★★★★ — Luis, Apr 2025

The best pain relief I have found! After suffering from nearly constant pain in my mid back for over a year, I was recommended to see Dr. Uzi by a coworker. As a massage therapist, I had tried nearly everything I could think of to alleviate the chronic pain I was having.

★★★★★ — Kiri, Jan 2025

I recently started dry needling for my hip pain, and I’m so glad I found Uzi as my therapist. From the moment I walked in, he made me feel at ease, taking the time to listen to my concerns and thoroughly assess my condition.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
