From the reviews
Wonderful experience. Very calming and soothing. Cupping is offered and feels so good.
I have gone to Sage probably a dozen times, and the results have always been great. This was actually my first experience with acupuncture and I was pleasantly surprised - just because I don't understand how it works doesn't mean it doesn't!
Rachel is fantastic! I have been receiving acupuncture for years, and Rachel is amazing. She has so much knowledge and wisdom as well as a way of making you feel comfortable. I feel better than I have in a long time!
Rachel does a thorough client in take interview. A plan is discussed and implemented. I trust acupuncture, and Rachel is skilled. More importantly, the environment is very professional and very calming.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
