From the reviews
Shia is the best around. Super easy to work with and very accommodating. Would highly recommend for all of your massage and acupuncture needs.
I had my first ever acupuncture session with Shia and holy cats I can’t wait for more sessions in the future! Shia is incredibly knowledgeable, skilled, and passionate about her work and it shows. I learned a lot from her in just the first session!
Shia is absolutely awesome. She asks thoughtful, insightful questions that really get to the root of what’s going on — both physically and emotionally. Her deep knowledge of acupuncture and herbal medicine is apparent, as well as muscular skeletal system - She can pinpoint tension patterns and the underlying causes of…
I am fairly new to acupuncture and must admit that I had always been a bit hesitant about trying it. Shia immediately put me at ease and helped calm any nervousness I had.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
