What clients say about the cupping here
“She will listen to how I'm feeling and where my areas of concern are and then create a treatment plan that usually involves multiple techniques for my session.”
From the reviews
Maggie is an incredible healer and body worker. She listens intently, assesses, and then delivers meaningful work that is custom to your needs. Whether it's gua sha, cupping, massage, etc. - her wholistic approach is personal, knowledgable, kind, and effective. 5/5 recommend!
When folks ask for a body worker, I only recommend Maggie. She is deeply compassionate and kind, curious, and very competent. She will listen to how I'm feeling and where my areas of concern are and then create a treatment plan that usually involves multiple techniques for my session.
I struggle with body awareness and even more with the ability to relax, especially around new people. But Maggie has done incredible work helping me to slowly give support and love to myself. I'm grateful that she works at my pace, but still helps me move forward and learn more. I fully recommend her.
I highly recommend visiting Maggie Moynihan. She is an incredible body worker who offers empathy, kindness, and curiosity. Maggie understands there is a vulnerability with showing up for a body work session and she meets all her clients with honor, dignity, and compassion.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
