Scheduled a massage yesterday due to some severe neck pain, then was called saying it needed to be rescheduled to today, which I was able to make work. While driving to my appointment I received a text that it was canceled which I was very frustrated about. Dr.

Excellent service, very thorough with x rays and all. Found an old fracture in my back from many years ago I don't even know how it happened. He comes highly recommended.

★★★★★ — Paulene, Apr 2020

I have been coming to Rustbelt Health and Wellness in Genoa for a year now, the office is so cozy and welcoming. I have been experiencing some lower back/hip pain and they completed X-rays and even sent me to my PCP for more imaging.

★★★★★ — Gail, Jun 2026

I have been seeing Dr. Rachel for several months now. I initially went to her after experiencing some pain in my neck and back. She did some x-rays, came up with a plan, and has been adjusting me since. I look forward to our monthly appointments. She is always professional, and the office staff are very welcoming.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
