From the reviews
…And if you are an athlete with any type of muscle pain, soreness, stiffness, her cupping is out of this world good. Rune is a space where you can truly be grounded to work on whatever it is you're struggling with. Lauren is the go-to for all of New England. You wont regret it!!!!!!!!
Lauren is such a wonderful and skilled practitioner. The way she describes the experience of beginning a journey with Rune is exactly what my experience was like.
Lauren is a caring, intelligent, innovative and intuitive healer. I have not had a healer like her, perhaps ever, in my 58 years and it is so refreshing to feel so very cared for and seen. I went to her in excruciating pain with a diagnosis of frozen shoulder.
I've been working with Dr. Lauren for about 2 months now. The progress I've made both physically and mentally have been so profound. I went to her during a very vulnerable period in my life.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
