From the reviews

I have been receiving massages from Abigail for about 6 years. She is hands down the best massage therapist in Groton/Mystic. I have experienced others, but Abigail is unmatched in her passion, skill and attention to clients needs.

Truly one of the best massages i’ve ever had. Abigail loves what she does and you can tell from the moment you walk in. It truly felt like a special experience just for me.

What a great massage and adding hot stones even made it better. I’m still recovering from a major accident and Abigail is very knowledgeable in all the areas that needed the most attention. I left feeling so much better and completely relaxed. Very much Looking forward to my next massage.

My shoulders and neck have been holding so much tension the last few months. This was my third time going to see Abbey to get a hot stone massage and she completely soothed my muscles and released the knots in my upper back. I haven’t felt any pain in my back since my massage. I highly recommend Abbey! She is amazing!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
