I found Roots Acupuncture and Healing via Google! I decided to try it out since I noticed that they may accept my insurance. As it turns out my insurance covers 20 session at a $20 co-pay each! That was excellent news. I met with Rena (the acupuncturist) to discuss my medical history and goals for acupuncture.
Dr Münster is the most compassionate and intelligent medical professional I’ve ever met. I’m always nervous and embarrassed to explain my health history to a new practitioner, but Rena handles everything with so much grace that I felt comfortable telling her everything.
This review is for anybody that has been skeptical about trying acupuncture. I cannot believe I waited until my 70s to try this, but Dr. Munster is absolutely amazing! She is through, listening to where my pain was coming from, explaining how through these treatments relief would come.

What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
