From the reviews
…I love the energy in this whole place :) I got a lymphatic cupping massage from Angie and it was so wonderful! It was my first lymphatic session and I was nervous that it would seem clinical or weird but honestly it was gentle and relaxing and everything I would want from a typical massage plus the added benefits of…
…Along with the cupping therapy, every time I leave I feel better and better. I’ve seen multiple of the massage therapists here at RMCM and they’re wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable, and always give appropriate advice for easy stretches I can do at home to help the affected areas.
…She went above and beyond and even did some cupping for my tough spots. I’ll be back for sure!
Went to Alison for the first time today. I have been dealing with some back pain and shoulder issues, this was the best massage I've ever had. Never had cupping before, that was incredible, but the massage itself was amazing. Will definitely be back and really happy to have this in our little town.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
