From the reviews
Michaela has such a relaxing office and personality! She made me feel so comfortable from the initial consultation and really took her time to learn about me and my goals. I look forward to every visit to the Riverside office!
The quality of care here is that you would find in a large city. They are so caring and compassionate. I have an extensive medical history and they took time to go through every detail, and they remember it! The process is gentle and everything is explained the whole time. You get to know your body better, as well.
Michaela & Patty have helped in so many ways: - relieved sinus congestion - removed tendon / joint pain in foot, knee and shoulder - eased sciatic discomfort - improved digestion - improved general well being I cannot praise these two professionals enough in a few words . . .
We travel all the way from Chicago because of this office. My daughter said that Patty's skills are so precise that there is no one else to replace her. Both Dr Michaela and Patty are so compassionate and helpful as well. Thank you for all that you both do for my daughter.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
