From the reviews
Matt has been wonderful to work with and I’m so glad he has moved to Gorham! Matt has been able to decrease my neck and shoulder pain substantially in just one visit through both acupuncture and cupping.
Matt is personable, professional, responsive and kind. It was clear from my first session that Matt’s top priority is helping his clients experience more health and ease in their lives. Matt addressed my complaints of persistent muscle pain, tension, and vertigo head on.
I've been seeing Matt for acupuncture and cupping to treat muscle tension, headaches, and some secondary symptoms, and I've already noticed real improvements in just a few weeks. Matt is incredibly thoughtful, experienced, and thorough, more so than other practitioners I've seen in the past.
I highly recommend Matt for any health concerns. He truly cares about you, listens to your concerns and approaches them with much expertiese! I now do acupuncture to help with my blood pressure, while the doctors just want to up your medication, I am now not using any medication and my numbers are good, better than…
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
