From the reviews
This was my first booking with Riverbend Massotherapy and I couldn’t be happier with my session. Rachel was my therapist and she took a considerable amount of time to understand my health needs. Asking specific questions about injuries or other ailments that absolutely matter.
I had Jen for the first time today. She was excellent! She was super friendly, listened to what I wanted/needed & used some great techniques I've never had before. Highly recommend!
Rachel Lamb is hands-down the best massage therapist I’ve ever worked with. I’ve been seeing her at Riverbend Massotherapy for over 7 years, and her deep tissue work is unmatched. Rachel has an intuitive ability to find and release tension in a way that’s both powerful and restorative.
I have been searching for a therapist trained in craniosacral therapy specifically. I am 84 and have cancer of the Aorta as well as other ailments for my age and finding the appropriate certified therapist is critical for my health. I visited Riverbend Massotherapy this past week and had a wonderful experience.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
